Pier Mauá

The design of Pier Mauá and the transformation of the use of the port warehouses act as a regenerative cell in the region and form the starting point of the great revitalization process that Rio’s city center is currently undergoing. The project proposes an urban-architectural intervention by redesigning the Praça Mauá, bringing out the best of the square and organizing its traffic, so that it no longer serves as a busy thoroughfare, but becomes an area where people will want to spend time and socialize.
